I made these letters for a decoration project at the Danish School of Media and Journalism. The brief was to design the graphics for four seperate sound proofing boards that hung in a group on one wall. The content should have something to do with the field of studies at the Copenhagen branch where they educate creatives for the design and advertising business. I therefore chose the word IDEA which is central to everything that goes on there. Each letter should somehow symbolize an important point about having great ideas.

The I is to illustrate that there is potential in everything and there can be a great idea in every subject even if it doesn't seam appealing at first glance. You might just have to find it and polish it first.

The D stands for never getting tied up with just one idea too fast in the process, it will hinder you from seeing great potential elsewhere.

The E is for thinking even BIGGER, BOLDER and BRIGHTER.

And finally the A is for remembering to play. Nothing good comes out of designing with a deep serious frown on your face.
